This is a 15 minute assembly about positive relationships. It can be used as part of tutor time, a whole school assembly for 11-18 year olds or as part of a lesson or on an online learning platform. This can be used for PSHE, Citizenship, SMSC, Tutor Time, Assemblies, Whole School days, Online Platforms and teaches the students how to have positive relationships in their lives. It talks about prejudice, discrimination, bullying and aims to teach students how to have positive relationships. Students responded really well to this whole school assembly.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about positive language. It covers the important topic of being positive, watching what language we use to communicate to others and using positive language online. It was used as an assembly for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, Grades 6-12). It covers: Why it is so important to show positive language in school The power of words Important quotes and two downloaded videos that will never disappear How we can show positive language What situations we need to show positive language How we can support cyberbullying Code of conduct Reflection slide with thinking questions and positive quotes There is a slide for you to add your Pupil Code of Conduct or behaviour policy or you can delete this slide if you prefer. The session is all narrated but this can easily be changed by deleting the icon on each slide. This fits into the new RSE & Health Curriculum, PSHE & Citizenship, tutor time, whole school activity or a whole school assembly with links to SMSC, Character Education and Fundamental British Values. This is a 10-15 minute assembly or tutor time PSHE or Safeguarding session which is fully narrated and designed for KS3, KS4 & KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It outlines: What peer on peer abuse / child to child abuse is Why stopping it is so important How students can access help and support The 9 protected characteristics of the Equality Act How peer on peer / child to child abuse affects someone Signs of a negative relationship Pupil code of conduct How pupils can show positivity at school and form positive relationships Definition of peer pressure and the need to create an equal community There are discussion questions and quotes to aid discussion and these can be turned into written activities if you want to make this session last a whole lesson. There are two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and it is narrated although you can delete this by just deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer. This session contributes to ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ and the new Relationships & Sexual Education and Health Education. It also highlights safeguarding, British values and can be used as part of the PSHE curriculum. It can easily be adapted if needed but covers all the necessary guidance. Pupils have responded very well to this presentation in the past and I have updated it for this year.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly, PSHE or tutor time session covering what the Prevent strategy is. It includes some videos and discussion points around Prevent and information about how to spot signs of radicalisation. This was originally delivered to KS3 and KS4 but could also be suitable for KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). There are no written tasks in this presentation, it is an overview of these topics in line with the PSHE and Citizenship curriculum, SMSC and Fundamental British Values. It could also be used in an assembly or whole school setting as a quick reminder of Prevent and Radicalisation. It can be lengthened or shortened depending on the timing of the session. The videos are downloaded so will never disappear. Students reacted well to this session and some important and interesting discussions were had.

This is a 15-30 minute tutor time session celebrating deaf awareness week. However, it can also be used for deaf awareness at any time of the year. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Years 7-13, Ages 11-18, Grade 6-12). It was originally a Citizenship session for the whole school. It includes: Information about deaf awareness week Information about how many deaf people there are in the UK Information about the devices people use A downloaded and clipped video which will never disappear about what ‘deaf’ means How we can support those in the deaf community What British Sign Language is and why it is important Activity and infographic getting students to sign their own name A connection to Fundamental British Values, UN Rights of a Child and a Reflection task Other links to watch the news There are discussion and activities throughout but this could easily be changed into written tasks to last a whole lesson if required. It includes dual coding and logos throughout. This presentation was well received by all year groups and many have gone on to learn BSL as a result. This is a 10-15 minute assembly about online safety. It covers why students need to stay safe online, what the risks are and how to get help if needed. It also covers what particular things to be careful of e.g. address etc. It includes discussion activities and no written tasks. It fits into the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum or a whole school tutor time session or assembly. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 7 but it is suitable for any class at KS3 (Years 7-9 Ages 11-14). It includes two downloaded video clips so they will never disappear.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly about the dangers of ketamine. This is suitable for upper KS3-KS5 (Years 9-13, Ages 13-18) and fits well into the new RSE & Health curriculum, the PSHE & Citizenship curriculum as well as the Keeping children Safe in Education Safesguarding document. It contains: What ketamine is The dangers and risks of the drug Discussion about the class of the drug A short video clip about how ketamine can affect you A short video clip with a case study about addiction and the consequences of taking the drug There are no written activities in this session only discussion tasks but it could easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson. The video clips are both downloaded so they will never disappear! This session was received well by the students and covers an important part of modern day drug education.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly on racism. It is suitable for KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) and covers the following: What is racism How can we contribute to make an equal society A story from Shola Richards about his life & discussion points Two downloaded videos that will never disappear about whether Britain is racist and the report that showed racism remains entrenched in Britain Thinking and discussion tasks There are no written tasks but these could easily be added or adapted to cover a whole lesson on this important topic. It was originally a Year 7 PSHE tutor time session but can be used as part of the Citizenship, Character Education, Relationships Education and addresses the Safeguarding guidance.

This is a 15 minute assembly about exam stress suitable for KS3, KS4 and KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It is especially useful in the run up to any periods of assessment or exams. It covers different ways and tips to manage exam stress by three downloaded short video clips that will never disappear! It has some discussion questions but this session could be lengthened by students writing notes and their own revision plan if you needed it to last a whole lesson. It was originally a Year 9 tutor time PSHE session about the importance of looking after student’s mental health in the run up to an assessment period. It fits into the new Relationships & Health Education, the Mental Health agendas, Keeping Children Safe in Education, Careers and Exam Skills and the PSHE Curriculum or it can be used as a whole school resource as an assembly.

This session is a 10-15 minute PSHE session that can be used as an assembly or as a tutor time whole school pastoral focus. It outlines definitions, the law, issues that arise, why it is important to know about consent and sources of support. This has two downloaded short videos and includes discussion activities, information, where to get support and a plenary quiz. There are no written activities but this can be easily lengthened for a whole PSHE lesson. This is suitable for KS4 and KS5 students (Years 10-13, Ages 14-18) and links to the new RSE and Health Curriculum.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about National Careers Week 2022. It can easily be lengthened to last a whole lesson because of the links on the last slide for further activities. It is suitable for the whole school (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13, KS3-KS4-KS5) and is a useful way to advertise careers education in your school and give students the necessary links to research further. It includes: What National Careers Week is The Theme this year What Careers Advice is What should we be doing now to help our future career prospects A downloaded and clipped video from National Careers Week about Hope (which will never disappear) A page of important links for further research and activities This fits well into the Gatsby Benchmarks, CEIAG, PSHE and Citizenship curriculms or as a whole school focus.

This PowerPoint assembly is fully narrated and covers some guidance for KS3-KS5 pupils about respecting their local community. This is particularly relevant for July 2021 as it goes through the easing of the lockdown restrictions in the UK. It can also be used as a more general tutor time session for PSHE on how to show respect and be kind to others. It includes two videos and two discussion questions at the end. It is 12 minutes in length as a narrated PPoint and then it leaves a few minutes to discuss how they think they can help the local community in the lead up to the Euros, the easing of restrictions and the summer holidays.

This is a 10-15 minute presentation about personal identity. It was originally a PSHE tutor time session for Year 7 but it is suitable for KS2-KS3 (Years 3 - 9 Ages 7-14). It covers what makes up an identity, gives students the opportunity to think about their own identity and includes a downloaded video so it will never disappear. There are no writing tasks, just discussion questions. It fits with the new RSHE or PSHE curriculum and is suitable for an assembly or whole school session.

This is a 15 minute assembly or PSHE tutor time session about grief and bereavement. It was originally a Year 10 tutor time presentation but is suitable for KS3-KS5, Ages 11-18, Years 7-13. It covers definitions, different coping strategies and goes through the grieving process. It also has a slide of support for students coping with bereavement and three short downloaded video clips that will never disappear. This fits in with the new RSHE curriculum, the PSHE curriculum and the Keeping Children Safe in Education document.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly about self-confidence. It was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 7 but is suitable for any short pastoral time with KS3, KS4 and KS5 students (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13). It has two downloaded video clips which will never disappear, discussion activities and tips to improve pupil’s self-confidence. It includes: What self-confidence is The difference between self-confidence and arrogance How self-confidence is shown A plenary discussion and two downloaded videos. This fits into the new Relationships & Health Curriculum and the PSHE and SMSC guidelines. Students responded well to this session.

This is a 15-20 minute assembly that covers the important issue of communication skills. It can be used for whole school, KS3-KS5 (Ages 11-18, Years 7-13) but was originally a tutor time PSHE session for Year 8. It contains two downloaded video clips that will never disappear and some discussion activities. These could easily be turned into written activities to last a whole lesson on key skills, careers, PSHE or Citizenship. It includes: How to show good communication skills How to improve your communication skills The importance of active listening Body language True & false quiz about good communication Students reacted very positively to this session and it can fit into a whole school tutor time programme.

This is a 10-15 minute assembly to celebrate and focus on the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia & Biphobia. It is suitable for Ages 11-18 (Years 7-13, KS3-KS5, Grades 6-12) and fits into the RSE & Health curriculum as well as the PSHE, Citizenship, RE, British Values, SMSC strands. It includes: An introduction on what the day stands for The history of the Day including the reason for May 17th & the law Statistics about HTB in the UK A short downloaded video that will never disappear about homophobia A slide of support with charities and helplines for further information A short downloaded video that will never disappear about growing up and coming out Two discussion questions with posters to invoke discussion at the end of the assembly It is fully narrated but you can easily change this by deleting the icon on each slide if you would prefer it not narrated. This is a document that outlines some assembly and mental health themes across the year. It includes important topics to cover as well as a few religious festivals and a mental health theme for each week starting September 2021-July 2022. It is for HOY and the pastoral teams to plan the assemblies and tutor time activities. So if you just need a mental health theme or assembly theme for the year you can download this and get it all done for you! This is for KS3-KS5 assemblies (Ages 11-18) but can be used for other year groups too. This does not include assemblies but there are plenty to purchase in my TES shop.
